Daniel Corum, PhD:
Daniel is a former professional mountain bike racer, and elite cyclocross and road racer. After his time racing, Daniel earned his PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Pathology from the Medical University of South Carolina, where his research focused on vascular development and aerobic respiration. After graduating, Daniel completed his postdoctoral training in MUSC’s College of Pharmacy, again with emphasis on aerobic respiration. Daniel was awarded fellowships from the National Institute of Health during his predoctoral and postdoctoral training (National Heart Lung and Blood Institute and National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, respectively).
Daniel is also co-founder of Endurowerks, LLC, and co-creator of the Enfusion Training System. Along with friend and co-creator, Daniel Rotroff PhD, the two developed Enfusion to be the first available model of human performance based on machine learning and “big data,” which is capable of measuring aspects of athletic performance not previously possible.
Daniel has been working with Ben and The Endurance Collective while developing Enfusion, and is excited to join The Endurance Collective as a coach. His goal is to work with athletes of all abilities, and help them have fun while achieving their athletic goals.
